I am delighted to be leading this roundtable in Dublin with Richard Chaplin, founder and chief executive of PM Forum and the Managing Partners' Forum.

Revenue has never mattered more in professional services. Firms are working through succession, private equity and structural change, and marketing leaders are increasingly asked to show how their work wins new business, protects key relationships and earns its place with the partnership.

Most firms invest heavily in thought leadership, websites and expert content. Few have a reliable view of what all that public evidence actually says about the firm's priorities, its strengths and the talent coming through, or what it returns commercially.

We are bringing together a small group of senior marketing leaders from Irish professional services firms to work through it properly.

The session covers how firms are measuring the commercial return on published expertise, and the language that works when making that case to a managing partner. It looks at how to compare a firm's public content against its own strategy and against its closest competitors. It covers how to spot and develop the emerging experts clients want to hear from. Most of the value will come from a dozen peers under the same pressures talking openly around one table.

It draws on Credible Voices, an expertise intelligence approach developed with a Cranfield University professor and RubikLab. The format is a peer discussion rather than a product demonstration.
